James Jones Co - El Monte, CA James Jones Company was founded in the early 1890's in California. In 1926, they produced their first fire hydrant which was a unique wet barrel made out of bronze. James Jones has continued manufacturing bronze wet barrel fire hydrants ever since. On September 4, 1996, James Jones Company was acquired by Tyco Corporation and became a part of the Mueller Company. See Mueller Co..
